Learn how to use and utilize cupping and Gua Sha in your therapeutic sessions.
Gua Sha is a Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy that has been passed down through generations for over 3,000years. This modality is known throughout Asia and China, and has gained popularity in western culture. Through the use of round edge tools to create subcutaneous friction, It is practiced to aid in relieving muscular tension, restore proper circulation to the body, and help with general detoxification.
Cupping therapy utilizes the inverse of pressure through the application of suction cups on to the body. This modality helps to free tight fascia, breakdown adhesion, increase circulation, and move stagnant chi. The cups can be placed on statically or dynamically.
